1. Rosters
-Every team will have one minor league team with 15 players.
-In 2014 the max roster will be 20 and minimum 10.
-In 2015 and beyond the max roster is 30 and minimum 15.
-All rosters kept on proboards and you will be responsible for editing your roster on your own.
2. Rookie Eligibility
-For players to be prospect eligible you must have less than 130 at bats or 50 IP.
-Once a player exceeds these limits they are a rookie and are no longer allowed to be held on the farm team. You will have two days to call them up or the prospect is waived.
3. Transactions
-All transactions must be posted in the transactions thread before it is final.
-
4. Dropping Prospects
-Prior To Rookie Draft
All prospects can be dropped at any time before the draft.
-Post Rookie Draft
After the draft a prospect must be out for the year, suspended, or released by his MLB team to drop.
5. Claiming A Prospect
-Prior To Rookie Draft
If you have less then 15 prospects a prospect that is not top 8, or top 100 can be claimed.
You can ALSO claim any prospect that is on MLB.com’s depth chart. If he is within the limits above this player does not become part of your organization and can only be kept on your roster and not sent down.
-Post Rookie Draft
Any prospect can be claimed at any time. (See Dropping Rookies Post Draft)
6. Draft
-The draft will always be the Sunday after the MLB June Draft.
-2013 will feature ten rounds
-2014 and 2015 will feature 5 rounds
7. Compensation Round
-Compensation round is always after the 1st round.
-The four division losers will receive a pick after the 1st rounds.
-If a prospect doesn't sign and you draft him you receive compensation.
-If you lose a top 50 prospect to a call-up you receive compensation.
-Lose a DFA'd player.
8. Call Ups
-You can call up a prospect whenever you want.
-When calling up a prospect add him on FA and post under add/drop transactions.
-Once one of your prospects exceeds the rookie eligibility limits he can no longer be on the farm. He must either be called up to your active roster, dropped, or traded within 48 hours.
-You don't have to promote a player from the farm to the majors until he meets his requirements.
9. Sending A Player Down
-You don't have to keep a struggling prospect on your roster. As long as he isn’t rookie eligible he can be sent back down to the minors. A player can be kept there until he exceeds rookie eligibility requirements.
-You can ONLY send a player down one time. After the 2nd time he is DFA'd and made available to the rest of the league before returning to your roster.
